Ysgol Ty Coch, a residential school, successfully adapted the Welsh Government’s thinking skills and assessment for learning programme to meet the needs of pupils with severe learning and physical difficulties and pupils with autism. Pupils have increased their speaking and listening skills, confidence and self-esteem.

INSPIRING school council: making change happen
The school council of a special school in Pembrokeshire took up the challenge to get the local authority to adapt the roads near the school to ensure students using wheelchairs had safe, easy access to the local supermarket.
