Inspection of Education, guidance and training elements of Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) funded programmes in Wales
Estyn carries out inspections of DWP funded programmes under a signed agreement with DWP which is reviewed annually. This includes both the inspection of individual providers and thematic surveys as agreed with DWP. Where providers have DWP funded programmes in Wales and England, Estyn and Ofsted work together, through a memorandum of understanding, to carry out the inspection or remit work.The reports are then published on both inspectorates’ websites.
Estyn and Ofsted also work together with DWP in agreeing inspection models for new DWP programmes as they are introduced.
